Are the pasta sheets used for lasagne commonly used in any other recipe?
I was asked this today and couldn't think of any.

Sure. I use them to roll up things like spinach and cheese for baking in a sauce. Canneloni, basically. The fresh sheets are excellent for ravioli.

At a wedding I attended many years ago, lasagna pasta was rolled and filled with small shrimp in some kind of white sauce. They were served in such a way that the round shape made a spiral on the plate.
