Because only at this time of year can my wife whip up a soup as we had for lunch today.
Black beans, in a squash/tomato stock with six other vegetables in a supporting role, plus fresh cayenne pepper--all grown and recently harvested just outside the door.

We've been enjoying the fruits (& veggies) of my wife's gardening labors all summer, and so agree and hoping for more to come.

YES!
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

To be sure. I've got a fine crop of sweet red peppers, and five different hot peppers. I love cutting into a hot pepper and then taking a big whiff of the air around me as it burns

Tomatoes and sweet corn are, to me, the most potent arguments for gardening, although having an herb garden competes for importance.

Mark,
I've got 30 pounds of potatoes in the cellar.
David,
I grow black, cannellini, pinto, and kidney beans.
