Will be visiting Las Vegas from June 7 thru 12. Way too many choices on restaurants, etc. Any folks have recommendations?
Cheers!

You can't go to Las Vegas without visiting Lotus of Siam, one of the best Thai restaurants around. It's off the strip, in a nondescript strip mall, but the food will blow you away. The bonus is their terrific wine list, filled with German wines that match the food perfectly.

For delicious Mexican food, try Lindo Michoacana. There's good variety on the menu, with some very authentic dishes.

As to dining on the strip, let your palate, and your wallet, be your guide. If you're not getting comp'ed, the dinners in the hotel restaurants can be very expensive.
For a blow the doors off dinner, try Alex in the Wynn.

Mike,

My wife and I were just there in April. We like Mon Ami Gabi at Paris, the Italian place at New York-New York, the noodle restaurant at Mandalay Bay and Trevi at Ceasars. Both Trevi and Mon Ami Gabi have excellent appetizers that you can make a meal out of. Mon Ami Gabi has a diverse selection of wines by the glass.

Have fun!

Thanks. Mon Ami Gabi....is that a Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises venue? Same as the one in Oakbrook, Illinois?

Well, a year has passed; I didn't get to Lotus of Siam last year. But now, I am in Las Vegas for this year's conference. And I hopped in a cab the other night and told the driver, "Lotus of Siam!" (Actually, I gave him the street address, but that doesn't read as well.) WOW! Very tasty dinner, very nice wine list. Braised beef short ribs in coconut cream curry with red chiles accompanied by a few glasses of JJ Prum Kabinett.

Thanks for the recommendation.....
Cheers!

Mike - this has to be some kind of a WLDG record: seeking restaurant recommendations then, a year later almost to the day, going to the restaurant and posting a review.
And I thought I was asking about a September trip to Denver too early!
