Question about user titles

by Dave R » Tue Apr 22, 2008 11:10 am

Does anyone know how the user titles get assigned? Some seem very appropriate (Celia=Village Baker, David=Riesling Guru) and some seem, well, not so appropriate.

Any ideas?

Once you achieve 1000 posts, you can ask the moderators for a custom title of your choice (and approved by the moderators, of course).

I agree that some do not seem appropriate - like "uber geek" What does that mean? According to an on line dictionary I consulted, this is what it says. "In a room full of geeks, the ubergeek stands out, often as the most irritating and socially inept person in attendance." Mine says "wine guru"......so far from the truth.

Yeah, I thought about changing mine to "Mr. F**khead" but I didn't think that Robin would go for it.

And Dave, unfortunately I don't think posts from the original WLDG count, or you'd be over 1000 already.. :)

It would be sooooo easy to go back and edit, but it wouldn't really be fair ...

I always wondered how people could make a post to the wrong thread. Now I know. Don't I get to pick my user title? I want mine to be "Complex".
