Knife accident update - Laura has her thumb back!

by David M. Bueker » Tue Jan 08, 2008 8:41 pm

After 47 days of enforced disuse, Laura has been given her thumb back by the orthopedic surgeon. Coincidentally we had broccoli with dinner tonight (the veggie that wa one of the priciple instruments in her misadventure).

Hooray, my wife has two hands again!

Oh...wait...I'm still (and always have been) the cook. :? At least I don't have to cut her food now!

Congrats to Laura! I hope she's completely healed with no long term adverse conditions.

We're expecting about 90% of mobility after some exercises for a while. Not bad for her "off" hand.

Thanks all!

Now she can hitchhike in both directions, again, as well as cook.
