Onion prices...finally

by Larry Greenly » Fri Nov 30, 2007 7:22 pm

After months of high prices (over $1/lb), onion prices have taken a nosedive. A couple of weeks ago I bought some at 25cents/lb. Today, I saw 3-lb bags for 49cents. Wha' happened?

Yeah but the quality ABSOLUTELY sucks this year ! I have NEVER eaten SO MANY HOT onions in my life ! And I don't care where they come from or whether they were a typical "sweet" variety or just a regular red, yellow, or white onion variety ... enough to turn you off onions !

Clink !

Napa is for auto parts, Paso is for wine !

And lots of them have green centers, which can be cut away, but adversely affect the taste of the remainder.
