A Thai/Vietnamese dish called Glazed Crispy Noodles (Mee Krawb) served in small portions as an appetizer or larger portions as a main dish. Contains tofu, shrimp and seasoned with zest of orange peel, the sweet and sour tastes of palm sugar and vinegar containing peppers and garlic. It is very good. The recipe has about 25 ingredients. But, worth the trouble.Paul Winalski wrote:Jo Ann,
Excellent photos.
What is the dish in the last picture, the one with the garnish of bean sprouts, scallions, and chiles? It looks like some sort of stir-fried noodle dish.

Where are you eating. That is authentic peanut sauce (I'd know it anywhere). That stuff takes hours to make and cannot be duplicated by using peanut butter as a base. As much as I don't care for peanut products, authentic Thai peanut sauce is to die for. Yum!

Food presentation is a timeless expressive art, and I believe there is a plethora of creative food presentation pics and ideas out there that are only conceived that have yet to be realized and fulfilled. From the everyday snapshooter to the professional photographic artist, anything goes and there's no better place to display our own expressive style than right here in the Forum Kitchen. So let's see what we've got! I'll start things off.
This is a Mocha Rum Cheesecake with a dark chocolate ganache and "Forest Medley" decor. All of which is my own creation, and, yes, those are real CHOCOLATE leaves that I made, surrounded by fresh raspberries and mint sprigs. ENJOY!

Coming to a store near you.
Aaron - love the leaves - did you use real leaves as the moulds?
