You foodies can join in on terroir today, too!

several years ago there was an article on terroir and vegetables in edward behr's 'art of eating'. i thought it made a lot of sense. it seems to me that the state of texas once put a lot of money into trying to create an apple industry - which failed totally; they just don't do well there.
