Oh no! I haven't watched last night's episode yet, but how AWFUL. Like you, I have been very impressed with Tre all along. He's been what, to me, Sam was last season: the one who had it all. Great cooking skills, inventiveness, and leadership capability (which Howie, to name one of the remainders, definitely does NOT have.)

Okay, now I must switch to Brian. You?

I kind of have a thing for CJ, but that might just be a crush and not a judgment of his cooking! Brian...he's good...Hung, even though sometimes he misses the mark by a mile, has enough confidence to run a kitchen, that much I believe...But I also like the guy with the Mohawk, whose name escapes menow...Dale..hmm. I guess I like them all at this point except for Howie.

EW had a funny recap of the last episode...

Rats…I was pulling for Tre. I watched it last night.

I kind of like Howie…in sort of underdog way. Though, no doubt he can be a complete a**hole at times.

CJ, for all his claims of being a team player won't help anyone. And the rest... don’t seem like they are pushing the envelope or trying to take the lead. More like they are hanging back and hoping to just slip by unnoticed. I guess that is a tactic...

With the exception of Hung, who simply cannot believe that the judges won’t aknowledge his true superiority in all thing culinary. Its just getting funnier and funnier.

I think Peter has a good chance. Although Lois did well last week. I loved Brian's souffle. But,I think my favoriye is Stewie.

In the words of Peter, Lois, Brian, Chris, Stewie, Cleveland, Joe and Quagmire:

Ummm. I am def. not watching the Top Chef you guys are watching. No Peter, Stewie, Meg OR Lois on Bravo's Top Chef 3.

Which begs the question: What on earth are YOU watching, Chef Carey?

Barb, I think he's making fun of us for watching this show. Chef is quick to call others on what he thinks is food snobbery, so it's good when he displays his own. Proves he's human. :)

BACK to what we were talking about, I've now seen the last episode. I'm not sure I don't think Tre got a bad rap there. Okay, yeah, he was the Exec, but CJ put the team together and CJ, who always plays it safe, did NOT pull his weight. Yeah Tre had two unsuccessful dishes, but he was overloaded. Wonder who the judges would have sent home if it had only been one.

I've mostly watched on re-runs (not hard with Bravo desperately trying to kill Top Chef the way they kill every successful show...), and my biggest surprise is how *&$$)*#%ing long they are taking to get this thing over with!!!

Does someone know more abut the mechanics of this show? I get the impression that the majority of the show, though we see it over many weeks, is filmed in about two weeks' time.

I think I remember seeing that it takes about 6 weeks to do the whole show.

Ah, okay, that explains it.

Went right over my pedestrian, suburban, soccer mom head.
