As for the onion bagel, you can call it a legab if you wish, but unlike the latter-day sweet and fruit perversions, it has stood the test of time, even in NYC. And the Borscht Belt. (Although we're both either proving or challenging the conventional wisdom that if you can remember the '60s, you weren't there.)
