Cyn, I don't suppose this is diet food? But then I won't always be on this diet will I? Do you suppose you could post his recipe for it? Looks great, and I think I can smell it oozing out of the computer screen. :D

World Peace Cookies - a great recipe by Dorie Greenspan. She wrote about them on her blog, and there is a recipe link here.

They are absolutely delicious - a shortbread cookie studded with dark chocolate (Maria - no egg in this recipe!). Dorie thinks they work best with Dutch Cocoa, and that's what I used here. I also followed her metric measurements - made life much easier. Going to make another batch now for the freezer.

Beautiful work, Cynthia. Isn't choux pastry fun to make? Do you ever use it in savory applications?

Baroness,

I must make those Kofte this weekend! Thanks for the link to the recipe.

Is there an adequate substitution for nigella seeds? I have never heard of those.

You are most welcome. Please let me know how they turn out.

Nigella seeds are black sesame seeds. You can omit them if you can't find them.

Hi Baroness,

We had some friends over yesterday and I made these. They were great! The only changes I made was that I added roasted garlic to the kebabs and left out the nigella seeds because I could not find them at the store. Even one of our guests who claims to despise lamb thought these kebabs were excellent. Another day, another convert. Thanks again for the post.

I am so happy you liked them. I will have to try the roasted garlic; that sounds like a delicious addition.

Hi all, for my first post I thought I'd jump into the Food Photos, as I obsessively take pictures of most everything we cook. This is Pad Thai we made as the first dish in our new wok over the weekend:
