Absolutely, girlfriend! We've been together for 9204 days (25 years 2 months and 11 days). I'm giving thanks on a daily basis. :)

John, Pete agrees with you - he thinks it's a deadly weapon. I asked him to engrave my initials on it, and he said that it was better not to have any identifying marks on the weapon when the police came. :)

1st pizza in the new place last night. It rocked. (Of course!) We had a 1998 JM Stephan Cote Rotie with it. Yum.

Pumpkin pie made using a new-to-me recipe from Rose Levy Beranbaum. One places a layer of crushed gingersnaps and chopped pecans over the crust before filling... that dark line between filling and crust that is visible in this shot. The crust never got soggy at all. It was also a really tender and flaky crust, yet could have been taken out of the baking dish whole and plated for a fancier presentation. My new favorite way to make this!

He works so many long days (and is traveling for business this week), that it'll probably be a while before he gets tired of me and provokes it! :D

Tony, I'll bet you didn't end up with any leftovers, but if that was at my house, the leftovers wouldn't survive breakfast. I LOVE cold steak in the morning.

Jenise - i did have some cold the next day and it was awesome. Actually we still have some left but that is due to the fact that we were both gone the next day then on Sunday had a huge dinner with some friends from out of town: smoked salmon pate, crab salad with cucumber dressing, sea bass with lemon grass, leek tart, porcini dusted pork tenderloin with porcini risotto...Traci and Christine made most everything...awesome!

Wow does that sound fantastic. This would be Christine Huang? Never met F2F, but I remember her. Say, your steak pic did a number on me--guess what we're having for dinner tonight?

Dinner last night. This vegetarian onion soup Stuart made kicks! It was perfect for such a cold winter night. (I was initially skeptical about vegetarian onion soup. No longer!)
