Food musings, Winter Covid edition

An airliner is a flying incubator.

Jenise and I have a friend who is a moron - he decided that it would be a great time to fly across the continent in the middle of an epidemic....he didn't have a great record on making sensible health decisions even before that, to say the least.

Even if an airliner is as safe and sterile as a hospital as they now claim, what about the trips to and from, and the terminals, themselves?

Albuquerque is almost locked down for at least two weeks. And there are still nut jobs who think it's a hoax.

I've been baking up a storm: yesterday, sourdough bread; today, sourdough crackers with herbes de Provence, using spent starter.

That's up to 40 cases now.

Contrast that with the recent 17-case outbreak in Adelaide. The authorities were on it like a ton of bricks. IIRC it was traced to a quarantine facility and was nipped in the bud before it could become community transmission.
