Great - remind me before we see you next time and I'll package some up so you can try it, Would be interested in how it compares to what you've tried. Do you have za'atar? If not I can give you a bit to try out as well.

In the mean time I expect you to be working on a terrine that includes ras el hanout

BTW, pan roasted some cherry tomatoes in sumac last night to serve with pork medallions with berbere. Simple and very tasty in a lemony sort of way.

So, let's see... mini-hamsters and mini-tomatoes. And saffron. Add a pearl onion and you can have a couple thimbles of ragout!

Just enjoying some spiced olives. Take a small bowl and add a bit of EVOO (less than a tablespoon). Add a teaspoon or to taste of za'atar and mix it up, and then dump in a bunch of sun dried nicoise olives and mix them up. Noticed the suggestion in Ana Sortun's book 'Spice' and it is delicious.
