The breakfast at a hotel in Istanbul was delightful; one of my favorites.
Sitting in the midst of the ruins of the Theodosian Walls, open air patio overlooking the Sea of Marmara and the boats coming and going from the Bosphorus, sitting in Europe and looking at Asia, we dined on rich tomato soup, English-style oven-roasted tomatoes topped with cheese, herbs and bread crumbles, bangers, smoked fish, eggs every which way (including scrambled with milk and butter!), a German-style meat and cheese platter, espresso, Cafe au Lait French style coffee, Americano coffee, and Turkish hot apple-mint tea. Yogurts (even "Greek style"), fresh fruit array, cereals, granola/muesli, variety of juices, pickled and fresh veggies. So the next morning, we got out late and made it brunch because they kept it going most of the morning.
