I have embarked on a personal campaign to eradicate foie gras and feel that I have made decent inroads in the cause. I have another kilogram on its way from Montreal as I type. One slab at a time, I shall rid the world of this blight!!
Too bad they only do goose around Christmas - have to make do with duck the rest of the year.
I sure get tired of do-gooders that moan about eating animals. Cruelty, of course not; eating, you bet!
Not a big fan of harvesting animals wastefully for minor bits of their bodies - Chinese and bears, rhinoceri etc., Americans and bison, Japanese and whales (although they at least use most of the beast).
Not particularly a fan of sharks (being a Scuba instructor and having dived among them in the tropics, they aren't my favourite swimming companions) but am a big fan of not screwing with the ecology when you don't know what the consequences may be - as Man has so often done.
