Not to hijack the thread, but this describes my first official date with Gail, the first time she visited me in East Tennessee. Only the flat granite boulder was IN the small river, and we got honked at by every car that crossed the nearby bridge. All we were doing was enjoying the picnic food and wine. Well, maybe they thought we were enjoying it a bit too much? 8)

A good question, Jo Ann, and one that I pondered before responding to this thread. To me, sexy implies active solicitation of sexual attention, which I distinguish from merely being attractive. Attractive women (or men) are not, to me, inherently sexy; put that same attractive woman in clothing that shows off her figure to good advantage, doll her up and you may end up with a person who I'd consider sexy -- or maybe I'd just consider her as "trying too hard." The latter is actually a lot more likely than the former, but then I'm a notoriously tough critic.

Decolletage is sexier than toplessness.

I can't remember a sexy waitress in a very long time but I don't go out to dinner much and the places I go aren't of the Hooters genre.

I do have a hilarious story about a hockey team of 8th and 9th grade boys who won a league championship many years ago and the head coach (not me!) took us all to Hooters. Some of the boys were afraid to look up from their menus when the waitress came by.

its very hard to answer "mens fascination with boobs" particulary since I view this as Robin's living room but its very very real. I think its programmed into the operating system.

Don't misunderstand please, I very much appreciate those girls and women that strike me as "sexy", but when it comes to service in a fine restaurant what I want is not sexy but polite and responsive, friendly but not familiar. Moving from fine dining to what I consider "diner dining", attractive helps more than sexy. And when it comes to street-side dining (felafel, hot-dog stands and the like), I don't give a damn how they look or present themselves.....only the hot dog or the felafel counts in such situations.
