I'm with you, Lou. Luckily for me, wild blueberries are abundant in northern Ontario later in the summer and fall. We buy them at our local farmer's market, and they come from farther and farther north as the season goes on. I never even bother with cultivated berries because they've so little flavour compared to the wild.

My favourite blueberry dish is a mixture of sliced local peaches and wild blueberries drizzled with Cointreau. We have it almost every week through August and September.
