I'm all out of venison except for some ground. I save it for soups and chili.

I picked up some acorn squash while riding in the country today. I'm thawing some chicken thighs which I will marinate in Chiavettas. I'll cook more of the chicken tomorrow, as I'll be taking it to a friend's where we are all going to watch the Bills-Raiders game.

I certainly understand the Friday night not wanting to cook thing. When I think back on it, I don't think inspiration was my block, I think my lack of desire to cook was the problem.

Tonight I'm going to make the seafood linguine and open a bottle of chardonnay so I can get in on the wine focus before September is over.

Tomorrow night I'll make the pork. Then I leave for Omaha and won't cook all week.
