I call this bread "The Flop". It tastes good though.

It was supposed to look like this. http://tinyurl.com/45rhud

Anyway my sourdough starter is bubbling away and ready for some action.

That's a healthy looking starter, Duane ! Bread looks ok too - did you get the big holes in the crumb ? :)

Small boy's breakfast. He refers to is as "breakfast fit for a king", as in, "I'll just have my usual breakfast fit for a king, mum". :)

Hardboiled egg, Yakult, Lebanese cucumbers, cherry toms, grilled focaccia with passata and provolone cheese. And a little bit of Murray River Pink Salt for his egg..

Funny thing about this bread, there are big holes in the crumb. I'll try it again some other time. There are a couple of ideas that I might try to help it out next time.

You gotta love this forum. Cynthia taught me how to make rye bread, and Martin taught me how to make vanilla icecream. :)

Breakfast fit for a king is an understatement! You are a great Mom, *C*. Good luck trying to get them to move out when they turn 18.

Hope you are starting to feel a little better.

You're always very kind, Dave, thank you. :)

People look at him look at me, look back at him, then start laughing. Then they ask me about my mailman.

He's black.

Sorry to keep posting bread pics, but I'm on a bit of a roll at the moment. Here's today's sourdough fruit loaf (with cranberries and persian figs - notice a theme this week ? :))

Thanks Celia. Your breads are quite impressive. I haven't made any bread for a while. Been meaning to do so, just haven't gotten around to it. Problem is I make it, and we end up eating half a loaf at dinner between the 2 of us.

A little late, but here is last Thursday's supper. I sauteed chicken breasts in a little EVOO, then used a can of cream of chicken soup, some Sauvignon Blanc, some Herbs de Provence, and a little water to create a sauce/gravy, served over the chicken and the rice (a mixture of brown, red and wild rices, with some dried veggie mix from Whole Foods).
Tasted much better than the cellphone pic makes it look.

Wow...everyone's stuff looks so amazing! I love these food pics (accept they make me hungry :) )

Here's a pic of our Easter dinner...Lamb chops with a port wine sauce, serve over mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts with bacon...sorry, not a great pic, photography is not my forte!
