This weekend I completed the trilogy of Vitkin's reds I purchased of late, having the Cabernet Franc 2016. Of the three this one is the most earthy and brooding, with plenty of bell pepper and loads of tannin--taking note that while the other two were aged in the larger 550 liter barrels, this was aged in the smaller 225 liter ones. The fruit takes a back seat and the overall structure makes this a food friendly wine. I'd like to see how this develops over time.
Best Regards,
Pinchas
