I had a single wine this weekend and it was the Vitkin Carignan 2016. To the treble of red fruit--think cherry, there's a distinctive bass of wet leaves in the fall on the forest floor. I don't sense much in the way of acid and the tanins are very smooth, yet the winemaker is convinced it'll age for about 10 years from vintage. The only way to find out, is to age a couple of bottles.
Best,
Pinchas
