Blend of usual suspects.....Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Cinsault. "Moulin is effectively a negociant company" says James Berovici (UK forum).

Color. Dull ruby-red, already shows some light orange. Quite a light center.

Nose. Old oak barrels, not at all attractive initially. Cranberry, raspberry after an hour.

Palate. Initial entry thoughts were dry, soft acidity, short light finish. Not a lot of depth, some blackcurrant but remains one-dimensional in the glass. Tart, short medium finish, think off bottle?
Completely shot on day 2. Pity

Bob, is this one of Aimé Guibert's négotiant wines? He is the producer of the famous Cab based Mas du Daumas Gassac. If so, I would have hoped that he would have done better.

I managed to pick up a Gil Monastrell from Jumilla but wonder if it might be too "international". I steared clear of the d`Arenberg, now in the low $40s.
