OK, maybe not quite like that. But I was adding it to another batch of cold sesame noodles and it did gush suddenly into the little dish of spicy stuff... sending ground black pepper and cracked Sichuan peppercorns skittering all over the counter.

Now THAT"S something you learned yesterday !! Poke an exit hole in old tubes of tomato paste, anchovy and harissa before trying to use a stored tube. I've even had an old tube split at the rolled up area causing a mess.

Funny thing is that I had poked a hole up the tube just a week earlier!
