2001 Hexamer Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Riesling Auslese - Germany, Nahe (8/3/2007)
Balanced tree fruit, cherry and subtle rocky tones. This is not a blockbuster, but rather all about its balance. Still two to three years from drinking peak, but quite delicious now. Not a great pairing for my Toro sashimi, but a fantastic pairing for the lightly pickled ginger that went along with it.
