  • 2004 Wimmer-Czerny Grüner Veltliner Trocken Fumberg - Austria, Niederösterreich, Donauland (5/6/2006)
A pure, cristal clear Veltliner. Elegant fruit, good acidity lifted by a slight bit of CO2, long mineral spicy finish, true to the grape. Light but structured. A biodynamic wine fermented using only natural yeasts. Drink or hold. Very, very good and unreal QPR.

Note that Hans Czerny thinks about bottling his wines (all/part?) under stainless steel crown caps with vintage 2005. Kudos to him!

According to Wimmer-Czerny's homepage, Domaine Select (http://www.domaineselect.com) in New York are their agents/importers.

Gruners are getting a lot more shelf space these days. I haven't seen this one at my local BAW store though.
