Beamsville Bench.
Consumed at a restaurant, which listed the wine as "unoaked." However, the label didn't indicate this and, after checking the winery Web site, it appears that Malivoire doesn't produce an unoaked Chardonnay. I assume the wine list was in error.
Medium dark-yellow color.
Spicy, crisp nose.
Tart green apples, pear, lemon and a hint of orange, creamy but with crisp, refreshing acidity, peppery. A full and rich wine and quite refreshing. Matched very well with our meals.
A long, mouthwatering finish.
Screwcap closure.
Purchased for $33, but the wine retails for $22 (Canadian).
