Western Cape. A blend of Chenin Blanc, Clairette Blanche, Riesling, Viognier and Grenache Blanc.
Lemon-lime, spicy and peppery, clean with good acidity, with a hint of tangerine-peach toward the end and ever so slightly honeyed (which emerged toward the end as the wine warmed). A clean, tart finish.
Fairly simple, I suppose, but it matched very nicely to a spicy chicken stir fry.
Well priced at $11.95 Canadian. Screwcap closure.
