This bottle is a good example of why I stay with the TC Wine Club. Probably not a bottle that I would chase down, but certainly one that I enjoyed drinking. Color was an orange-tinged medium cherry red. Nose and palate were fruity and mildly spicy: strawberry, cherry and a hint of rhubarb. Weight similar to a Cru Beaujolais but more vibrant and lasting. A decent food wine, but we ended up saving most of the bottle for sipping while Dawn interpreted some Franky on the piano. (88 pts.)

Dan,
Had this out at HdR and liked it quite a lot. Much as you describe...a rather pretty and interesting. Counoise can often be a bit hard & tannic, a bit abrasive tannins. This TC was not and I thought there was some very good winemaking going on behind the scenes.
