It is not everyday that there is a "new" release from Madeira, especially of an "old" wine. Now in the scheme of things, 1950 at 56 years old, is by no means an ancient wine for a Madeira. In fact it is considered an extremely youthful vintage Madeira. Nonetheless, coming from nearly extinct Terrantez vines and from one of the most exalted vineyards (yet little known) on earth, I wondered how many Ebob members bought a bottle from the current Rare Wine Co. offering?
By this time next week, I'll open my bottle and post a TN on this Terrantez. I'll take one for the team, so those of you that would prefer to let yours age for a special occasion, don't have to sacrifice your bottle to learn more about what is inside.
