A most interesting story on how some wineries are training sheep to act as natural weed eaters, while leaving the valuable grape crop alone:
Researchers train sheep to weed vineyards, abstain from grapes
Personally I like this option - it keeps the use of fossil fuel down and may even be a source of useful fertilizer
