  • 1992 Domaine Guy Amiot et Fils Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru (7/17/2007)
This particular bottle showed very well with no signs of oxidation. The nose had aromas of citrus, maybe lime along with hints of white flowers. The wine still showed excellent texture with nice viscosity and a lush mouth feel. The still apparent acidity cut through the richness and the oak was very well integrated. The finish was long and well balanced. (93 pts.)

Welcome Marshall! As you evidently know Lou, then you know this neighborhood went to hell in a handbag a long time ago. Let me assure you we're not all as crochety as Lou (well, watch out for Hoke). Great note on the white Burg. Again, welcome to our own piece of purgatory.

Thanks Bob; You live in one of the most beautiful spots on Earth that I have ever been. I have been as far north as Amisk Lake and it is simply stunning!!
As far as wine, I opened a 1996 Chassagne- Montrachet "Les Vergers" from
Michel Colin-Deleger and it was completely OTH and oxidized. This has happened a few times with this producer/wine combo. I still have a couple left and am not hopeful. I don't know if the oxidized white burg thread has been beaten to death on this forum but I figured I would throw in a recent experience.
Cheers!!!
