WTN: 2005 J. Lohr Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles California. $16 at Wine Sellers, Ridgewood. Deep red color, deep hue, very good fruit and spice aroma, somewhat harsh attack with good fruit and spice, hard tannins, softening in the glass, long finish. Not as pretty as the 2004 vintage, but still a very good value. I had this wine at a picnic with a rare hamburger -- the wine added a bit of complexity to the beef, and was softened by the beef. 3*.
