Thanks for the notes - I always appreciate your feedback. Yes - last year was extremely challenging, and as you may recall, I had a time when I didn't even know if I'd be making any wine at all. The Cayugas were the best looking grapes at this vineyard - even the Baco and Foch were pretty shabby looking. Successes across Niagara notwithstanding, 2006 will go down in my memory as a downright macabre year.
Now, as for the location of Scotch Block and the Toccalino vineyard ... They are just off Hwy. 25, north of Milton - against the Niagara Escarpment, but not at all in the Niagara Peninsula. The vineyard is west of the Greater Toronto Area -
