Just got back from dinner out with Gail at Romano's Macaroni Grill. I know it's a chain, but to me one of the better ones, with decent atmosphere and a reasonably priced wine selection.
Had a Banfi Centine Toscana (missed the vintage, unfortunately, as I only had a couple of glasses and not the bottle), but it was good enough. Sangiovese, merlot and cabernet blend.
Good ruby color, fruity and tart (what is it with me and tart wines lately?), had some body to it. Started the first glass while waiting to be seated, and by the time my salad arrived, it had mellowed a bit, not as tart. I ordered a second glass, and it didn't seem to be the same wine, wasn't tart at all, much more fruit and a hint of sweetness.
