Mo'Cool maybe

by Bob Henrick » Mon Jul 09, 2007 9:49 pm

If you have been following the saga of Jay's NoCool 2007 thread you must have noticed it picked up a little bit of steam today. I do believe the Hawthorne would let us use their meeting rooms which can easily support 25 or 30 people. I think now though what we need is a show of hands as to to who is pretty sure they could make an appearance on the weekend of Aug 25th. I would think we will need at least a dozen and two dozen people would be an unqualified success. Put me down as a hearty YES!

Does that mean I'd have to miss the Stooge Fest at the local theater? OK. I'll go.

Laura, I look forward to meeting you and your husband.

With BobH, Howie and the Noland Brothers there it sounds like a party! I am IN, for what my husband so aptly dubbed: Semi-Cool ! 8)

Yippee!!

Laura, it would be good to meet you and Teddy, and here is hoping that the list of names attending will continue to grow.

Can't check with Beth this morning (playing golf) but count me in. I will pass the word on to Bob Stark (he brought the '67 Pichon Baron last year) and to Karn.
Some of the regular MoCOOL participants do not regularly check this board, and rely on the email notification that Jay sends. Perhaps we should ask Jay to send out something via that system?

Good idea, OW! ( I knew you were more than just a pretty face  )
Hopefully, we will have the details ironed out by the end of this week. We do know now that it is definitely on at the Hawthorne for Aug. 25th.

Stay tuned, folks! SEMI-COOL 2007 is coming together!

Pork rinds? Durin? Moreton Bay bugs? Haggis?

Enquiring minds want to know!

Maybe BobH can cook a whole steer on his Kamado, then deliver it via his BAT!!!! Two steers even!!

Seriously, that is a great question. I imagine others with prior MoCool/Hawthorne experience have some ideas.
Cheers!

Since the date freed up, I am now scheduled to work that day, but Mary and I should be able to join in for the evening. I can bring a batch of Pesto Pasta.

Great, Dave. Pass the word to the other MoCOOL organizers. Some don't check in here very often.

OOOPS! In today's mail came the invitation to my 40-year High School Reunion on August 24-25. Tough call, but I think I'll have to do the reunion thing. I was in charge of the 30-year reunion and I think this is something I can't pass up.

Bob:

Bill Holmes told me you all would be talking about Mo'cool Maybe at 8 tonight and I'd like to chip in. Last year was my first MoCool and I've been excited about this year and hope we can figure something out.

Bob, We did talk about what we are calling Semi-Cool and we did get some things ironed out. I think Julia B will be posting on that. Here is hoping you and your wife can make the trip in.
