DOC Pomino Bianco.
Frescobaldi.

A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc.

Pears and lemon, crisp, cleansing acidity, some light oak lurking in the background but not overwhelming, rather light weight, peppery, showing a hint of orange with some warming.

Finishes tart, with lots of lemon.

Have enjoyed this wine through a number of vintages over the years, but was more impressed with earlier bottles. I would have liked to have experienced a bit more complexity and weight. Ultimately, the wine comes across as rather simple and one dimensional.

Purchased at $18.95 (Canadian).
