What has Francois been drinking? Long time, no mouth watering notes.

François has been drinking a lot. We held the Academy for Ancient Wines on June 12 in Paris: 43 wines for 39 people. If you're interested I could give you the list. It's an amazing experience and we had a wonderful time - full of laughters, good humor and great wines.

Cheers! Eve

Thanks Eve, and Rahsaan. I took a look at the notes on the Parker board. Excellent as always. Did you taste the Doisy-Daene, Eve? If so, what were your impressions? I have a 2000 vintage of that wine and was told that it would not age particularly well. In fact, I planned to drink it this year.

Tell Francois not to forget his fans over here in the slums.

Thanks Again,
Sam

Of course I tasted the Doisy Daene. :) It wasn't at my table but one of my friends let me taste it! Nice to have friends at a neighboring table! It's one of my very favorite liquoreux. It was wonderful: almost no sugar left, just the "soul" of the wine. Very dark color, very reddish. Quite an experience!

I tasted the Doisy Daene 2000 at a press lunch in October 2005. It was very enjoyable. I don't see why it wouldn't age gracefully but if you feel like drinking it now, just enjoy it! It was delightful.

Cheers, Eve
