From Patagonia, Argentina. Alto Valle Del Rio Negro.
The back label proclaims this to be one of the most southerly vineyards in the world.

Almost black in the glass.

Spicy, inky, plummy nose.

Rich and thick in the mouth, sweet raspberry and blackberry fruit, tobacco, bitter chocolate, tarry, black licorice, good acidity.

Drying on the finish, with some moderate tannins and some slight bitterness.

Great value at $12.95 Canadian.
