WTN: 2006 Brun and ESJ Rosé

by Bill Buitenhuys » Sun Jun 03, 2007 5:34 pm

Brun one day, ESJ the next.

2006 Jean-Paul Brun Rosé d'folie (Beaujolais) Sweet strawberry and red cherry fruit with a solid mineral core and zippy, lingering bitter citrus finish. Very very refreshing.

2006 Edmunds St. John Bone-Jolly Rosé Witter Vineyard (El Dorado County) Crisp and clean strawberry and cherry fun. Utterly slurpable.

Comparing the two, the Brun shows more minerality and complexity while the ESJ is more tasty. Two very good and very refreshing gamay rosé.

Bill,
Where did you find the ESJ Bone-Jolly?
I would like to use it for my next Rose' class if I can find it.
Cheers,
John

John,

Bill and I both ordered it. I have a bunch. If we can find a way to transfer a bottle or two I will gladly aid your cause.
