WTN: 2003 Perrin & Fils Vacqueyras

2003 Perrin & Fils, Les Christins, Vacqueyras -- the only '03 in my cellar, this is pretty darned tasty for a $17 wine from a hot vintage. I don't get any of the overripe, pruney qualities I've found in many of the other 03s. Black fruits, tar, spice and floral notes carry from the nose to the palate in a pleasant (if not overly complex) package. This went well tonight with grilled beef. Enjoy.
