WTN: Rock On - 2001 Brundlmayer Zobinger Heilgenstein Riesling

The warm-up wine to a tasting of Cali Pinot (report later):

Pale gold color. I've tried since last night to come up with a different description, but this wine smelled like creamed stones with a dash of lemon. The creaminess carries over to the mouthfeel, and there still plenty of apple skin and lemon zest fruit, but underneath it all is a solid base of rock. The wine is drinking spectacularly well now, and I would check in on it regularly over the next few years.

Thanks, David. I have a lone bottle of this and was unsure when to try it. Looks like it will make the summer queue.
Is this the bottling that TT didn't put his name on?

There was a TT selection band on the bottle.

The wine I remember that TT did not select, but that made it here was the 2003 Schloss Gobelsburg Riesling Alte Reben & that was one heck of a wine!
