WTN: Lake Chalice Sauvignon Blanc 2005

Marlborough.

Clean, spicy, peppery nose, with grapefruit and gooseberry.

Bracing acidity, very clean and refreshing, quite rich and expressive tropical fruit blend, lemon, lime, mango, grapefruit, gooseberry, peppery.

A clean, acidic finish, with lemon and gooseberry.

I noticed the fruit was richer and more forward than I recall previous bottles being, but the zingy acidity kept everything moving along quite nicely.

Screwcap closure.

Purchased at $16.15 (Canadian).
