Patagonia, Argentina.
Dark red in the glass.
Hickory smoke, tangy, spicy nose.
Smoky, leather, quite tangy, spicy, peppery, an odd blend of quite juicy black and marschino cherries, slightly sweet, some firmness toward the end. Calms down quite a bit and loses a lot of its flavour punch with time and air exposure.
Drying on the finish, smoky and tangy.
The wine doesn't really exhibit a lot of Cabernet Sauvignon characteristics but, if you ignore that, it is a nice drinking wine for a fair price.
Purchased at $13.95 (Canadian).
