WTN: 2000 Cotes du Rhone Villages Rasteau "Les Hauts du Villages"

$17.99. 14% alc. Seductive and beautiful wine. Barnyard and deep raspberry fruit on the nose - it put a smile on my face. Dark cherry and raspberry fruit on the palate; earthy, spicy, and refined - a very balanced wine. More milk chocolate after some time in the glass. A good match with my beef and broccoli dinner. A great Monday night wine. 8)

I've seen pics of you frolicking naked in vineyards in France - you're very dumecated, Buckissimo!

I am trying to dumecate myself with French wines, and was a little confused with this bottle. Mis en bouteille a la propriete' Cave de Rasteau? is this a co-op wine?

It is an Alfio Moriconi Selection wine. Did a search on him and found this:

I had a bottle of the 99 Les Hauts du Village Rasteau, which was consumed in june 2005. Bricky red, I wrote in my journal, an earthy wine with a long finish. Very rustic wine with some notes of pitted fruit - plums?
I remember really liking that wine. Bought it from the caveau at Rasteau.

I'm not Bucko (all my aspiration for naught), but yeah, a "Cave" in the Rhone, and elsewhere in France I think, is generally a co-op.

Thank God you are not Bucko! He is the one and only Buckissimo!

Thanks for the confirmation, Clinton! By the way, I enjoyed reading your Gaja dinner notes!
