The Good and the Bad - Good Italian, BAD Chilean!

2005 TOMMASI POGGIO AL TUFO ROMPICOLLO - 60% sangio, 40% cab, this blend from the coast (near Sassicaia) is ready to roll, and very tasty, and when you factor in the $19.99 price, if you need a casual wine, why not.

The bad? I have for some time criticised the Chileans exaltation of Carmenere, just so they could have their 'own' grape, even if it was one that Bordeaux had first and rejected. But no they produce a white Carmenere called appropriately "Oops" Oops indeed. Haven't tasted it, so if anyone picks a bottle up in the US, by all means throw a note our way.
