Opened this last week as we had a craving for Bordeaux. It worked nicely with a pot roast supper. Tasted it over three days.
Cedar on the bouquet with added plum scent by the second day. Surprisingly robust on the palate, it tasted only of plums and just a hint of lead pencil. By the second day, something a bit more savory developed and the length improved. On the third day, some oxidation started to creep in.
I had higher expectations as we'd tasted this a couple of years ago with some promise. I suspect that it was in an awkward stage, and I should have left it rest in the cellar a bit more. Last bottle. Ah, well!
