Norton grape vines

by Phil Guy » Sat May 05, 2007 9:47 pm

Hello ! I am new to this. I recently tried Norton wine and LOVE it. I have a small vineyard and would like to add Norton grapes. Does anyone know where I could buy a small quantity of vines in either North Carolina or Virginia? Thanks, Phil

Check with the folks at Horton Winery (VA). I'm sure they could help you.

Phil, first of all I would like to welcome you to the forum. I'm afraid that being in Ontario, Canada, I can't help you specifically with your query as Norton is quite foreign to our region ... although I do feel a need to share with you that I, too, am an extreme fan of Norton/Cynthiana because I believe strongly in supporting native American grapevines and hybrids for growing areas that are vinifera-challenged, and I also love the taste of the Norton wines I've tried.

Glad you made your way here.
