Zeltinger Himmelreich. MSR. A. P. Nr. 25766091601

Deep yellow, with tinges of green, in the glass.

A rather simple and grapey nose at first, with heavy petrol notes coming in later.

Tingly and slighty prickly on the tongue, green apples, lemon, petrol, incredibly zingy.

The wine really showed its stuff when we sat down to eat our BBQ Italian sausages. Taking a sip after a mouthful of sausage, the wine almost exploded (I know that is a term that some on this board take exception to...but you just had to have been there) in the mouth, cleansing the palate and leaving a tingly sensation in a way I have never before experienced. Sort of like a "taste bud woosh." Amazing.

Green apples on the mouthwatering finish that literally goes on for minutes. I have never had a wine that made my mouth water as much as this one did.

What an experience! :D
