WTN: 2005 Roland Tissier et Fils Sancerre

Artificial cork in this Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit/citrus nose with a hint of pear also. Flavors followed the nose. Pale gold color with clarity. Purity of integrated flavor. Versatile with chicken or fish. I had it with chicken thigts baked in a mushroom sauce. Quite enjoyable. I don't believe I've had Sancerre from this producer before but would buy again.

i love a good sancerre and neighboring menetou-salon as well. elegant and flavorfull wines. pouilly fume often seems 'chunky' by comparison.
